0:00 Music. Father God, we thank you that your will be done, O God, on earth and through us. We declare your kingdom come. We thank you, Lord God, for your faithfulness to keep us in all of our ways and acknowledge. We acknowledge you and your salvation.

0:41 Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross for us. Thank you for opening our eyes, giving us the revelation of your love and truth. I bind every spirit of scattering, lethargy, deaf and dumb, confusion. Anything Satan would try to do today to snatch this word, this revelation from our hearts and minds. God, give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and heart to receive that we are not a rebellious people. I thank you, Lord Jesus, for also the power that you've given us over all the power of the enemy, power to bind, bind and forbid, power to loose and permit, power to love and forgive even our enemies. I thank you for the power of prayer. I thank you for the power of your protection. I thank you for the power of preventative prayer. I thank you, Lord, that we do not pray from a place of panic.

1:22 Father, I thank you, Lord God, for the revelation of your wonderful protection. You said no weapon formed against us will prosper. No word said, deed done, or action taken will be able to be used by the enemy to bring forth any shame, trouble, or reproach. So guide and cover our families. Those who work for us, pray for us, and love us, Father God. Keep us in our words and conversations, our relationships, our communications, our thoughts, that the enemy cannot get into our lives to bite, divide, devour, destroy, or deceive us, Father God. I pray that we would all rightly divide your holy word of truth, and I thank you for the answers to prayer, Father God. Thank you for your word and your promises, Father. Thank you that Jesus, you are the wonderful counselor, the faithful witness, and we ask for the Holy Spirit now to guide our words and keep our minds clear. In Jesus' name, amen.

2:06 Amen. Well, hey, here we are in the middle of everything again. Like crazy goes crazy, crazy world. But we're going to talk today about praying for protection and preventative, prevention prayers. Prayers that we can pray not from a place of panic, but from a place of strength and stability. Yeah, unfortunately, most of us, we pray panic prayers. Well, yeah. We're not proactive. We just say, okay, oh. Oh, and sometimes, well, you know, prayer is a last resort instead of a first resort. Yeah, and I think part of the problem is, and just to get this out of the way, because this is kind of an unspoken problem in praying, is the spirit of lethargy.

2:50 It's kind of connected with unbelief and apathy, and lethargy is kind of laziness, you know, dullness. And I think our world is full of dullness. It's waking up a little, but we need to realize that we are not of that woke generation. We're of the awake. Paul says we're awake. We're children of the light, children of the day. And so as we look into the ideas of safety, praying for protection, you know, God is our refuge and ever-present help in time of trouble, Psalm 91. He's our refuge, our defender, our strong tower, our strength. He's our way of escape. He's our ever-present help in time of trouble. In Psalm 91, what does it say, Jerry? One, two, three, where it says, hide under his wings.

3:36 We're under his wings. He says, he who dwells in the sacred place of the Most High, beginning with verse one, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress. My God in him I will trust. So he's our protection. Our foundation, our fortress, yeah. A place of safety, security. He shall, verse 3, surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler or the trapper. The trapper, a fowler was a trapper of birds. And from the perilous pestilence. Yes. The dangerous. We've had a lot of pestilence in our world. You know, you can even use this as a formula for praying preventative prayers because, you know, we know they send pestilences and all kinds of things to try to destroy the human race and our faith in God.

4:25 And I like the idea of, you know, under the shadow of the Almighty, he is my refuge, and under his wings I shall take refuge. Abide under the shadow of his wings. He says, yeah, under his wings you should take refuge in the middle of verse 4 of Psalm 91. And then the last sentence there, his truth shall be your shield and buckler. A shield is a big shield. A buckler is a small shield. So truth basically is a shield for us as we abide in the truth. There's protection there. And 1 John, I think it's maybe chapter 3, it says, He says, I have no more delight.

5:05 I'm delighting, I'm paraphrasing, I'm delighting it that my children are walking in the truth. The truth, amen. He says, I have no greater joy to know that my children. His spiritual children are walking in the truth. So, yeah, so we're walking in the truth and the power of prayer is part of that truth. And we have to understand too that James talks about don't be double-minded. Don't be, because a double-minded man, one who goes back and forth between faith and fear, shall not receive anything. That man is unstable in all of his ways. But how do we deal with fear and anxiety and the fear of the things that are coming upon the earth and the doubtfulness of the day? How do we come boldly before the throne of grace and mercy with confidence to find help in time of trouble when everything is so messy?

5:52 And how do we get under the shadow of his wings to be be covered by his feathers, as we spoke, if we don't know who we are, who he is, and where we dwell. It says, he who dwells or abides in the secret place of the Most High, he who stays there, stay there, stay in that place of abiding, stay in that place of being. Be there, live there in the place of the covenant, in the place of the covenant with the Most High. What does that mean? in the place of the covenant, the place where he has, God has given us promises. Those covenant promises are based on our obedience. And the reason they have to be based on obedience is because if we're not obeying God, we're giving our vote to the devil and disobeying God.

6:34 Therefore, the devil has a right to deal with in our lives. And so we willfully, voluntarily stand in the place of the promises, trusting God, believing him, believing that his father love, his fatherhood, his goodness, his love, his justice, and his promises will be our protection. Yeah, I think of 1 John 5, verse 14. Now, this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us, and we know that he, if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, We also know that we receive. We know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him. So basically, praying ahead of us.

7:19 Jesus, what did he do? He said, and he talks about as the good shepherd, when he sends forth his sheep, he goes before them. He leads them. He doesn't drive them. So he's going before us. And really, it's important to pray. It's kind of like what happens in battle a lot of times, what they do. There's the air war. They're trying to bomb the enemy, weaken the enemy, and then they move in with the ground troops. What happens then in prayer is that we go before we go before we go. I mean, in other words, it's proactive rather than reactive. So much prayer is reactive.

8:00 And we moan and whine about how bad things are rather than just making declarations. Right, exactly. Exactly. Preventative prayer for protection takes us actually into the future. We're declaring things, right now in this day, but we're declaring those things into the day that's ahead of us, the time, the places of the day where we will be going or finding ourselves in the spaces, the rooms, the cars, the streets, the assemblies, the meetings, the affairs, the barns, the fields, the roads, every place where we're going today, protective praying is praying ahead of time. I bind the powers of darkness. And it's also praying from the place of the covenant, it, because we know that we want thy will be done, O God, thy kingdom come.

8:43 We're praying out of the authority that God has given us through the covenant, through his love, to stand with God, put our faith, bind our faith in his promises to protect us, so we can confidently project. Into the future what our requests are, our declarations, and they are fulfilled so that we are kept in a place of safety. So in other words, if I'm going to be in a tough meeting today at four o'clock in my world, and I'm scheduled for this as an obvious scheduled thing, I can pray ahead of time and say, I bind every force of darkness, every spirit of interruption, distraction, anything Satan would try to do to disrupt the meeting or throw it off course or disrupt the purposes of God. I bind those powers of darkness and confusion.

9:31 And then I release the will of God in that room, in that place that the people's hearts and minds will be open to do the will of God. So you're doing proactive prayer, which is also very protective. And I believe that in these days ahead, we will have to do both the proactive and protective and prophetic prayers to declare into the future, bind things that are being planned in the future. When you hear about something that's forecast, for example, you can bind it. It's forecast to come this afternoon, a big storm, and whatever, you can bind that. We've talked about those things before, but this also applies to other things that are in the plans and hearts of Satan and his evil ones to hurt the people of God. We can bind and forbid them.

10:14 So what happens in prayer is. We're projecting the power of God into the future, into the present and into the future. Yep. So we're projecting the power of God. The will of God. The will of God. Yep. In this thing. Because what happens is like, oftentimes we just moan about how the will of God isn't being done. Yeah. Right. And Jesus said, when we pray, pray that your kingdom come where you rule. Your will be done. Your will be done. And so we want the Lord to rule in these situations that we're facing in the day ahead. Yeah, exactly. We want him to rule and we want him to reign and rule and reign, which means his will is being done there.

10:58 So we're actually giving God, we're agreeing with God. You know, when Jesus said, I declare thy will be done, thy kingdom come, like you're saying, our will is actually being bound into an agreement with his that leads and guides and protects us, that his purposes will be fulfilled. You know, in the back of almost every book I've written, I have a thing called the Setup Prayers. And I also have, we have a CD on preparing for battle, which are about those Setup Prayers. And, you know, there's like five parts to this prayer. And, you know, they kind of take our takeoff on the Our Father in Luke 11 and Matthew 6, where we're declaring, first of all, that God is in control. In the beginning of your day, you declare, thy kingdom come, thy will be done. I submit to your will.

11:43 Your God is in control and he is in control. We need to keep remembering that. We must also know that we are standing in good relationship. We're in that covenant relationship with him and that his purposes are our purposes and his work is our work. And we're affirming that agreement with his kingdom coming and his will being done. This is very important when we say it out loud because that is where the agreements, the declarations are made. And so our first hope and desire purpose for the whole day, whether you get your other little plots and plans done, is to do the kingdom of God, the heavenly purposes of the day. And then the second part of that prayer is, and it goes right along with the Our Father, is we're asking for forgiveness for our sins, our debts, our failures to love.

12:31 So a debt is something that is owed, and the Bible says, owe no man anything but to love one another. So we may have debts out there, outstanding debts of bitterness and unforgiveness that need to be paid in love and we need to forgive. So we want to be in that place of being forgiven so that Satan cannot bring his demonic accusations and judgments against us. Yeah, the Bible says the wicked flee when no man pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion. So when there's a confidence, when we know that there's forgiveness, we're forgiven, we're righteous before God, we're clean before God, there's a confidence. And he says this is the confidence that we have in the Lord that if we ask anything in his name.

13:19 According to his will, he hears us, and if we know he hears us, we know that we have the petitions that we've asked of him. So here's the deal. If you're projecting in praying, praying ahead of time, right, covering the day, the details. And God knows the details on how they're all going to work out. But what you're doing then is you're walking with confidence. You're walking into the will of God. You're walking into the power of God. And bringing it. You're bringing it there in that situation. Because we have the authority here. So when you're praying ahead of time, you're covering everything that you know of, and then as you go, there are situations that develop. You can just pray. You can bind and loose.

14:05 Deal with it. Release the will of God. But what an adventure it is when you're praying ahead of time and you're basically walking into the will of God, walking into the power of God, walking into seeing what the Lord is doing there. And exactly. Then you're not living in the oh no and what if and the anxiety and the fear. You're actually soaring above that. So when we're praying those preventative prayers, we are transferring the matters at hand and the outcomes of those matters. We're actually giving those over to the Lord. We're taking those out of our hands. We're not becoming bogged down with faults and fears and responsibilities.

14:46 We're saying, thy will be done. So when we forgive and we declare. That we're releasing those that are against us. We're forgiving people. We're asking also that we be released from any judgments of unforgiveness that Satan is using against us so that there's no hindrance to our prayers. I believe that the heart, forgiveness of sins clears the heart and the confession of the, here's the deal, another thing that's very important when you you want to pray safety prayers or prayers for protection, the next thing we have to do is come out of covenant with the lies and the agreements of our generations. We come into covenant with God, but we confess the agreements of the iniquity and iniquities.

15:30 We confess those agreements and the iniquities that our generations, our ancestors made. They're hidden agreements with the devil that are still being used to pull us off the track of holiness or righteousness. Consciousness this is very interesting these are our powerful ruts patterns that that pull the our gen we're not aware of those weights and those tracks and those patterns and so we determined to do the will of god but all of a sudden we find yourself off the track again off the track of holiness off the track of faith off the track and so we have to realize that these are the hidden works or agreements that were made and are being controlled by blood guilt so satan is staying saying, you're still guilty. You don't have a right.

16:15 I'm not going to let you have that because this pothole of sin and iniquity is still on the road, in the road, and you're going to fall into it. So one of the things we need to do if we want to pray with confidence is clear the past. The way we do that is to confess. It says in Leviticus 26, 39, if you will confess your iniquity, and the iniquity of your fathers, which is with you, then I will restore the covenant, Leviticus 26, 39 through 40. So again, we're asking the Lord to make us holy, make us righteous, make us clean, because he said every generation should have a right to decide for themselves if they're going to serve God or not, and not be drug off the road by the sins of their fathers.

16:58 Yeah, that, you know, clearing the way, preparing the way. We said earlier that if I I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. So, you know, clearing the way before the Lord. And then, you know, projecting the will of God ahead of us. Not only the protection of God, but the production of God. What God is doing to do there. So, when we set the stage for the day. By our obeisance. by our prayers and then what an adventure it is and you just no matter what's going on you're going to be.

17:40 As you stay tuned in with him, you're going to be walking into the will of God in the future. That's fun. Exactly. But going back for one more second to the hidden agreements with blood guilt that are not closed, those doors that are not closed, allow us to still be vulnerable and open to the things, the demonic judgments, the calamities, the accidents, the losses, the the assaults, injuries, confusion, the malice, the breakdowns that the enemy would try to bring into our lives because those doors have not been closed. Even though the blood of Jesus has set us free from those things, we must still enforce the victory of the cross by declaring those iniquities to be iniquities and abominations and cast them off and then declare the righteous judgments of God to take authority over the intentions and the plans of the enemy.

18:35 So that's where we come into the place where Jesus says, I give you power. I give you power and authority over all the power of the enemy, Luke 10, 19. And then Matthew says, 16, 18, whatever you bind is bound, whatever you loose is loose. Wherever you use your authority to pray those prophetic prayers, those preventative prayers, those protection prayers, wherever we are inspired by the Holy Spirit to use our authority and our power to stop or forbid or hold back or bind the the plans of the enemy, they are forbidden. We're going to need to use these powers and authorities a lot, between now and the time Jesus comes back because Satan is really going to try every which way he can to kill, steal, kill, and destroy human beings, individualized families, your members of your family, yourself.

19:23 So what, and then the other side of that is whatever we loose or permit, what are we called for in line with the purposes of heaven? What are we called for is being called forth. The future is already spoken over. The kingdom of God is already declared and has come and is done. You know, when Nehemiah and Ezra and Daniel were all standing in places of difficulty in their lives, their ministries, the thing that they did, every one of us in chapter nine of those books, they stopped, they paused, they repented, they confessed the sins of their generations. And so they cleared the decks so that they could go forward with God's favor and blessing. And those abominations and those iniquities and those agreements with sin were out of the way.

20:08 And so we realized that's the same procedure as you are going forward in your life, in your day, in your destiny to clear the decks and get those things dealt with. Now that we know and understand that we have that authority, it's very important that we use it. So we, you know, God has already spoken his will, his plan. You read the book of Revelations, read any of the Bible, the epistles, read the prophetic words of the Old Testament. God has already declared what he wants to see done. And by the, by, by whatever way in man's means he gets it, it will be done, but he would like us to agree with them. So when we pray in faith, using our faith to agree with God or to believe in his promises, his goodness, it's really important that we know he is good, that he's not out to get us.

20:56 He's not out to beat us up or teach us a nasty lesson. He is a father. He wants to train us. His desire is to help us and allowing God hear our prayers. Our prayers allow the Lord God, the creator of heaven and earth, to enter into the arena, the arena of earth. So when you cry out, you petition, you call for God's help, that is what permits him to come. Not that he doesn't want to come in and doesn't come in at other points when we aren't praying, but when you pray, you're calling on God for him. You're authorizing, you're officially calling for the referee to come in and to judge the matter.

21:36 So We're permitting him to enter into the arena of our affairs, of our lives. Come into my day. Come into my family. Come into my world. Give me your strength, your courage, your wisdom, your revelation. So we're the channels of the will of God going into the earth. And so sometimes, like I said, if we're all blocked up, God can't flow through us, can't speak to us. If we don't talk to him. If we don't talk to him. And it's listening to him. Most of prayer should be listening rather than speaking. What is the Lord saying? What is he wanting to do? And then we come into agreement with what we hear, with what he speaks to us.

22:18 So our prayer is a request for God to act on our behalf or the behalf of our families or a loved one or a circumstance or a nation. So we're requesting, our prayer is requesting God to act, come in, come into the situation, work on our behalf. We're joining in with him, agreeing with his will, asking for his intervention, welcoming his advice, his will, his purposes. We're submitting to his plan and that his purposes will be advanced through us because God has to use and has chose to use us, the remnant, the church, to advance his plans on earth, preach the gospel, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead. But all of those desires in God's heart, he uses the church to secure those desires and to answer those prayers.

23:05 And this operation, this kingdom operation, operates in the midst of all the craziness and evil of this world. We don't wait for ideal conditions. Ideal conditions will never come. If we're thinking, oh, all the conflict and all the, you know, it's all peace and all that, then it's not gonna work. Because we're bringing the kingdom. We can't go with what it looks like, what it feels like, right. In the midst of this darkness of this earth, So, you know, it looks like there's hostility, there's opposition, there's darkness, there's blindness, there's bondage and stuff like that.

23:48 That's where the Lord works. There's where the Lord comes. Well, we have to work there. He comes in to the most desperate, difficult situations. And he asks us to believe him. That's where the kingdom comes. That's why Jesus came. He came into this dark, dirty world. That's right. To bring light and truth to set the captives free. Yes, and most, you know, the problem is that we look at the problem and we become overwhelmed with it, we become afraid, and we sink down in it. So our prayers are hindered by, well, we talked about the weight of iniquity that hinders our prayers, the unbelief that drags us down, and the guilt that we feel unworthy and that we did something wrong and we don't have a right to pray. So the weight of the unacknowledged sin, we really need to get rid of that.

24:33 That we really need to come out of that darkness, that covering, that trap, that ensnarement of the iniquities of our generations so we can believe God with courage. And like you said, we have to know who we are and what the foundation is that we're standing on. Part of the problem with people's praying, the church has been super deceived. By the counterfeit gospels that make it well if it's God's will and we don't know for sure. And so we throw up this little. And there are things that just happen, right? So there's a third kingdom. Well, yeah, we give it to that. And you're right. So then we back off. We don't pray with authority or confidence or faith and we're believing, well, maybe God's not good. Well, maybe God's teaching us.

25:20 We get all this. We need to know who we are. We need to know the foundation of the covenant of God's love, purpose, promises, will, and his goodness. Otherwise, we won't be able to stand. And the other thing is if we're lethargic and we're bogged down and with fear and anxiety because we're at the fearful sites of everything that's going on around us that are coming upon the earth, we melt. We melt under the barrage of the fear of hell's assaults, of hell's minions. And when God, but we forget that God is with us. He's our shield. He's ever-present help in time of trouble. He'll never leave us or forsake us. We got to, it really depends on what you're going to focus on. Are you going to focus on the fear and what the devil is doing?

26:00 Or are you going to hear what the devil is doing and then focus on what God wants to do about it? And that's why people get worn out with praying because they're praying the problems. Oh, my son is this, and my parents are this, and the world is this, and the world is that. And it's so wicked. You didn't say pray the problem. It's just we get all worn out and discouraged. Sometimes people are done praying, and they're so worn out. They thought they prayed, and they didn't. They did not pray. They worried to the Lord. Yeah, they did not pray. They actually thought because they're making this conversation, but it's negative. It's pulling them down. It's looking for, you know, ask God, what is your will here? What do you want me to pray for this sick person? What do you want me to bind you? Do you want me to bind that spirit of death?

26:42 Do you want me to bind that spirit of neuropathy in their feet? What do you want me to do? Bind it then, and don't just say, wah, wah, wah, wah, wah. Let's get going, and let's do what God wants us to do, and then let's rejoice so that God will get the glory and we'll get the victory. We don't have to live down here defeated. We're not defeated. We are already overcomers. We've overcome by Jesus Christ. Faith is the victory that's overcome the world. Jesus has overcome the world. He's overcome death. We are on his side. We're winning with him. We have already won. And so let's not act like we've lost. Yeah, we overcome the enemy, the prince of this world, through the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony. We don't love our lives unto the death.

27:25 Can you read in 2 Samuel, Jerry, that wonderful prayer of David after he defeated Goliath? It's just 2 Samuel 22, I think it's 1 through 4. David had just believed God for the impossible. He had just killed Goliath. He didn't look at Goliath's size. He didn't look at his wah-wah words. He just took up the stones, polished them off, and put them in the sling, and he threw the first slung, the first stone. He didn't even have to use the second one. Yeah, and that was when he was a young man. Maybe 17, 18, teenager. Now he's getting to be an old guy. And what happens is that in this battle, what happens, his soldiers take out the giants.

28:13 After, yeah, he raises up the soldiers and they take out the rest of the giants. Well, here he says, well, anyway. The left, there were other giants besides the left. There were other giants, but basically his soldiers, his mighty men took these guys out. And they said, listen, you shouldn't go out anymore with us to battle lest you quench the lamp of Israel. Basically they're saying, you're getting too old now to fight. Let us do it for you. We're going to do it for you. But then after this great deliverance, which was accomplished through his men, David spoke unto the Lord. 2 Samuel 22, verse 1. Spoke to the Lord the words of this song. And on the day when there's a victory or problem, I mean, David wrote a song.

28:56 On the day when the Lord had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said, The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, the God of my strength in whom I will trust, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior. You save me from violence. I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised. So shall I be saved from my enemies. And it goes on. You can read the rest of it. So it's amazing that the praise. See, when we pray right and correct according to God's will and God brings us the victory, then we can praise god and thank him and he declares his glory then takes over and so but just to kind of wrap up what we're always talking what we've talked about today god is always with us he's always for us he's he dwells among us in us among us with and by the power of his holy spirit so to we must you know what are you going to do with your life well why don't you become a a prayer warrior, praying into the future, what God wants to do.

30:05 You pray it now into the future so that his will be done today. You know, this afternoon, this evening, tomorrow, two weeks from today, you're actually declaring and praying God's will into the future, prophetic praying. So we must, first of all, acknowledge God that like Jesus did in the prayer he taught us to pray. God, his will, his kingdom, his kingdom coming, the way of the Lord. And then we need to thank him for his salvation. I always thank Jesus for dying on the cross for us. I think that's our anchor point. We need to remember that that was already done and done for us because of the love of God. It was a tremendous act of love. It was beyond words.

30:47 I mean, to lay down his life for a rebellious people who hated him, every drop of blood for whosoever will, he laid down his life for our salvation when we didn't even know we needed it. We didn't even know we were lost. And so thank God for his protection perfection, and that refreshes our faith and our confidence in the power, the love, the justice, the goodness of God. And then we take authority over the enemy. I bind you, enemy. I forbid you to continue your operation. I forbid you to, you know, whatever you want to bind and forbid, and then declare the kingdom of God. You also can bind the enemy. I bind the strongman, the familiar spirits, those who are holding assignment over my life, over this person, over whatever's the situation.

31:28 Bind those who are demonic that are claiming the right to be there, and ask for divine covering and protection. And the way we do that is by declaring, according to, I think it says Isaiah 49, no weapon formed against you will prosper. So we claim the promises of God's divine protection. God is protecting us. He, and that's what we prayed as we opened up the show today, declare that he is faithful and that Jesus Christ is the faithful witness. He is the wonderful counselor. He is with us, that his will be done. So it's just a full circle of believing for God's will to be done, declaring it to be done, and on, you know, with using the authority he's given us, and then receiving the victory.

32:09 So that is, Father, we just thank you again for the revelation of your love, your truth, the power of praying preventative prayers, not that we will be bound up and lost in the panic prayers of the moment, because we have learned how to walk with you, Lord God. And so today, we just thank you, Lord, for giving victory and inspiration, revelation to the listeners that they will come into that full place of authority and victory and wonderful answers to prayer. Father, yes, we look ahead, Lord, and we thank you, Lord, for this adventure as we basically sow the seed of your power and your grace and your truth into the future, into our day, the day that you have before us.

32:53 And we can go and we can see the strongholds of the enemy torn down in the name of Jesus. And we will know by your grace what to do, what to say as we get into these situations that you open up for us. Lord, help us, Lord, bring us into this adventure now, the adventure of the battle, that the battle is the Lord's.
