0:43 Give us eyes and ears to hear, to understand, to understand the signs of the times, Lord God. And I thank you, Lord. You are the one in control of everything, no matter what goes on, no matter what the narrative, You have the final move and you are the Lord God and you are good. So we thank you that your kingdom come, your will be done on earth, in and through us as it's being done and declared in heaven. We are yielded to you. We are willing. We are your servants, your vessels, and your kingdoms, Lord God. I thank you, Jesus. You took step one when you died on the cross and defeated the enemy, rose from the dead. Thank you, Jesus, that you have also marked the calendar for your return. And I thank you that that day is coming. It is not here yet, but it is very soon to arrive. And so cause us to be not afraid, but be watchful and pray that we will be accounted worthy to escape from the wrath that is to come, Lord God, according to Thessalonians 5. I thank you, Jesus, that we are not appointed to wrath. I thank you, Lord, that you've given us power and authority even now to deal with this world in the way that you want our spirit, your spirit to deal through our spirit with the situations. So you've given us power to bind and loose and to forgive and to love. Our commandment is to love one another. So Lord, I thank you for this time. I thank you for this time of opportunity. I bind the powers of darkness that have raged against your church, against individuals. I bind and forbid you, enemy. You are being exposed and evicted by the name of Jesus Christ from the houses, the lives, the temples, the families

2:14 of those who are listening. Bless them, Father God, with faith. And hope and love in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. So what are we talking about today? This is the week of the Feast of Trumpets, Rosh Hashanah, September, very, very big month with 3 major feasts showing up in September here. Right. Rosh Hashanah is coming the 12th of this month. Oh, it actually starts on the evening. It starts the evening of the 11th, sundown, sundown till basically Sunday. Sundown. Anyway, um, and then comes the Feast of Atonement, or, and then comes the Feast of Tabernacles. So we've got 3 different feasts all crammed in. And you know, the interesting thing about the feast, and you're going to read about this in Leviticus, God marked his calendar with 7 feasts. And the 4 first feasts that are in the, usually in the spring, and then one around Pentecost, which is summer-ish, you know, June, whatever, um, Those are, they're all for telling the time.

3:15 Calendars mark the time, tell the time. And so go ahead and share with us what God set up in the book of Leviticus when he was directing his people. Well, he said, Leviticus 23, beginning with verse 23, then the Lord spoke to Moses saying, speak to the children of Israel saying, in the 7th month, on the 1st day of the month, They're— that's according to the Jewish calendar, right? Not according to ours, right? You shall have a Sabbath rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. And then in— it's kind of repeated in Numbers 29:1: And in the 7th month, on the 1st day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation, holy meeting, basically a big meeting.

4:08 You shall do no celebration. You shall do no customary work. It's a time of rest for you. It is for you. It is a day of the blowing of the trumpets. Well, it's interesting, and the Feast of Trumpets, also known— we call it Rosh Hashanah, Feast of the Trumpets— is the, the start of their, uh, civil new year. They have a religious new year which starts Uh, at the, in Nisan, the month of Nisan, which is usually March where we have the Passover. But then this is the beginning. So it's kind of complicated in a way. But so this is the start of their new year civilly, you know, in their government calendar, government business and so forth. And, and, and the feasts don't change, although they look like they change on our calendar because we have a sun solar calendar. They have a lunar calendar. That's why they're always the same day for them, but not for us. Yeah, and sometimes this Rosh Hashanah is, is also referred to as the Day of Judgment. Yes, yes, Day of Judgment. And, uh, you know, some things about Jewish tradition— Jewish tradition— now there's, there's true tradition and truth. There's always a kind of a juxtaposition or mixture here. Jewish tradition says that God writes every person's words, deeds, and thoughts in the Book of Life. Yeah. And he opens it on Rosh Hashanah, and if good deeds outnumber the sinful ones

5:39 for the year, that person's name will be recorded in the Book of Life on Yom Kippur for another year. That's the tradition of it. And so, well, that's interesting because a lot of us really believe our life is based on our good deeds, and this is True, but not, it's half true. I mean, once you follow Jesus and you're abiding in him, you will want to and be automatically connected with him. So your words and actions will come out of his love and his truth. But, you know, another name for Rosh Hashanah is Yom Teruah, T-E-R-U-A-H, which means blowing of the trumpets. And in Joel, we see that use of trumpets in a lot of different places in the Bible. And Joel is very interesting.

6:29 He says it's to wake them up. He says, blow the trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm in my holy mountain. Joel 2. And then if you got Joel there and look at also verse 15, Margie, would you read that? Oh, I have Joel right here. Let the inhabitants of the land, you know, and now therefore thus says the Lord, turn to me with your hearts. So he's getting their attention to the trumpets in Joel and he's talking about this dreadful, the alas, For the day of the Lord is at hand. It is coming as destruction from the Almighty. And I believe this was always a process, a cycle. It's like the earth has been caught in this cycle and its inhabitants.

7:10 It's always been, you know, like the tide of evil rebellion rising up, giving way to divine correction. So we have this ebb and flow of good and evil, wars and famines and destructions and nations that have been, um, like put in their place after we've got out of order, disobeyed, rebelled, killed one another. God brings back a kind of an awakening, an awakening. Very good. And so in Joel, he's talking about this calamity being on the horizon. It's upon us and there's nothing we can do about it except sound the alarm. And then he goes, he calls them to a place of repentance. He says, um, Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly, gather the people, sanctify yourselves, assemble the elders, weep and mourn and wail. And really the feast that comes right after Trumpets is Atonement. So they're being called to that place of repentance.

8:07 Yeah, exactly, exactly. And so there is a call that's going out now, even though some people are not crying out, with that, but there's a call that's going out in the world now to repentance and judgment begins at the house of God. And there's a call to wake up the church of Jesus Christ. You know, this could be actually very super exciting and good news. And I think for a lot of believers it is because, uh, they look in 1 Thessalonians, um, where Paul is talking about comforting them, uh, chapter 4, verse 13, about their dead who had died and where did they go and are we ever going to see them again? They didn't know. See, we, They didn't have the revelation of the finished Bible, the early followers, that we do. But he says, um, he says, for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, verse 14 of 4, 1 Thessalonians 4:14, um, even so God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus. He's going to— then he goes on to kind of talk about the process of how this is going to happen because we thought they were put into graves and tombs and things. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord. So he's talking not out of his own ideas, but he says, this is the word of the Lord, which is very important. Um, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord. Well, right now we are those people in that group. We're aliving and remaining, and the Lord hasn't come yet.

9:32 Um, that will by no means precede those who are asleep. In other words, um, for the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout. With the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God. Now these are 3 signs. He's going to come himself, descend from heaven with a shout, the voice of an archangel, maybe it's the shout of that archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then, so they're going to come up out of the graves. There was a— that first happened when he rose from the dead. People saw their loved ones in Jerusalem had come out of the graves. They were— there was a resurrection there of some sort where that bunch of people appeared unto many. Yeah, I'm sure that some people were freaked out. Yeah, it's like, oh my. So they've— they were pulled out of their graves already then.

10:20 Then— but there's been many put in the grave since then, including some of our loved ones. Um, then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Now notice The thing that highlights or announces this is the trumpets. The trumpets. Now, it's interesting, the trumpets in the Old Testament, they were the trumpets, what they refer to as the shofar, which is a ram's horn. You know, it's the curly ram's horn of various sizes. And the trumpets were used as a wake-up call. They're used as signals. Trumpets were used, like we read in Joel, to sound an alarm, to bring a call to repentance. Um, they were also at the, uh, it's a signal of God's presence, you know, at Mount Sinai when the, um, connecting— yeah, when he came there on the mountain and, uh, there was a trumpet that went long and hard and loud. Yes. And that's— it signaled God's presence. And also back in those days, it signaled— there were signals that were given.

11:27 They didn't have cell phones or computers. So they, they would blow the trumpet in marchings when you were marching and giving orders. There was a certain sound. Oh, right. Remember Jericho? Yep. They were marching around and then they blew the trumpets and it set this blast that actually shattered the walls. I really believe the sound of the vibrations of the shofar and the trumpets collide with the, the enemy and and disturb, break down walls, tear down obstructions to the kingdom of God. Yeah, exactly. And they were always, like you said, in Joel, they were trumpets that were blown to call assemblies, get together.

12:08 Yeah, in Yom Teruah, which means the blowing of the trumpet, it means the word is used to describe to make a trumpet as a loud noise for the gathering of people. And so the shouting in unison, it's a very, It's about noise. It's about alerting. It's about shattering the silence. It's about shattering the lethargy of the darkness. Yeah. And it's, it's also in the book of Nehemiah, the trumpets were used as an alert against the enemy. So when the enemy's coming, then you blow the trumpet, let everybody know what's going on. And also in 1 Kings chapter 1, trumpets were blown when they heralded a new king.

12:51 When a new king was being inaugurated, they blew the trumpets. And it's interesting that all of the feasts, all 7, all 6 of the 7 have a sequence to them. You know, after 3 days do this and after 4 days do that and, you know, whatever all. But, but the only one that doesn't have that preceding, uh, it's, it's a feast that's commanded by the Lord, but it does not give a specific reason for the celebration only to observe it as a holy day. So this big loud noise is to be observed on a certain day, but there's no reason for it yet. That is because I believe the secret of the rapture or the harpazo, he says, those who are, and then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

13:45 That word, caught up together, shall be caught up together with them. So God is bringing— there's— he's gathering his people. I think that's referring to Revelation 19 where they're coming back. Maybe, maybe it's a different sequence, but nonetheless, this sudden blasting of the trumpets, which doesn't have a specific reason— there are speculations that this represents the scriptures, what we call the memorial blowing of the trumpets, or it's the the mystery that only God knows. But I believe it's an alerting. It's this trumpet he's talking about here. And he also talks about it in 1 Corinthians at the last trump, you know, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, the dead in Christ will be raised and caught together with us. So there's 2 references to this mysterious being caught up. Rosh Hashanah, caught up means to be violently snatched away from evil, violently snatched away from evil, which means that there is evil and God is, is doing a sudden extraction of his people from that place of evil. Matthew 24, beginning with 29 through 31: Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

15:04 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven. Then all, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet. Wow. And they will gather together his elect from the 4 winds, from one end of heaven. That sounds like exactly what Paul is talking about. Jesus said it. Where was that you were reading? Matthew. Matthew 24:29-31. So, so Paul is picking up on that theme. And it says that every feast day, like I said, was recorded, accounted, but this one is unique.

15:49 It is observed at the appearance, begins at the appearance of the new moon in the month of Tishrei. So what would happen is watchmen would sit on the wall and watch for the moon to come up or become visible. And then as soon as they saw it, they blow the trumpets at the first sign of its sighting. Um, signifying the start of the feast. However, because of many times atmospheric conditions and cloud cover, etc., people weren't seeing it, couldn't see it, and they couldn't blow the trumpet till they saw it. So there's a lot. So you could actually say that you didn't know the, the day or the hour because this is a— this is the only feast— well, Tabernacles is, is many days also, but this feast has 2 or 3 days to it. So when he's saying, um, people say, well, you don't know when Jesus is coming. Uh, you can't know the day. You can't know the hour. Yes, that's true. But as you read on in 1 Thessalonians, verse 5, chapter 5, he says, verse 1, but concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. So he's talking about 4 different things here. We see, Times, seasons, days, and hours, they're not all the same thing at all. So I believe we can know the time represents the year, the season obviously is the time of the year, fall, winter, whatever, and the day and the hour.

17:11 So with this very only, the only feast that has this kind of nebulous beginning, don't know exactly what hour we're gonna sound this trumpet, it makes perfect sense that we cannot know the day because it's a 2 or 3 day feast and we cannot know when this, they're gonna finally see that moon showing, the new moon, I should say. And so, um, it's very likely that we will be able to identify the time, which is the year or the season. We really believe it's got to be fall. I really believe that there's— God is very consistent and he doesn't— he's, he's very precise in what he does and he has deep purpose for what he does. So there's good evidence that the coming of the Lord could be right during that time.

17:54 Absolutely. Or the Feast of Trumpets. Yeah. We're not saying that that's exactly when it's going to be, but well, a lot of people, the way God has lined it up through the feasts that point to the fulfillment. So the— see, a lot of the things in the feasts, there's symbolic things that point to the fulfillment of these things. Yes. But, you know, through Jesus Christ, we have— yes. And we have a couple of things, big things, yet to be fulfilled. Um, if you go to the Book of Revelation, you're going to see In chapter 19, some of those big things. Now here's the thing. We're not going to stumble over the day or the hour. People say, well, I, you know, I want to know.

18:35 You don't want to know. You really don't want to know because Jesus said, if you knew the day, the time the thief would break in, you would have watched. But we need to be watching continually and not be shaken or suddenly afraid because if you're found doing what's right, you won't have to freak out about, oh no, I'm going to miss this. Because this is a complicated feast because everybody says, well, who's going? Who's not going? How are you going to pick? Um, because in, in Revelation 19, he says, um, the second coming of Christ, then verse 11, then I saw the heaven open and behold a white horse. And he who sat on him was called Faithful and True. And in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes were like the flame of fire. On his head were many crowns. He had a name written on him that no one knew except himself.

19:26 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed him on white horses. Um, and out of his mouth went a sharp sword, and with it he would strike the nations. He himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He himself treads the winepress of the wrath of God. I believe this is the initiation, possibly of that millennium, millennial kingdom. But the verses right before that are interesting also because they're talking about the marriage supper of the Lamb. Verse 7 of chapter 19: Let us be glad and rejoice and give him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and he made his wife, and his wife has made herself ready.

20:11 So there is an interesting supper called a wedding supper, a marriage supper, where Jesus Christ will be will be reunited, united, reunited as well with this remnant, the church, the bride of Christ. And it says that she was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, bright and fine, with the right— these are— this is the righteous acts of the saints. And he said to me, write, blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And they said, these are the true sayings of God. Now the thing is, so this marriage supper of the Lamb, is written, recorded just before we see the armies coming out of heaven. Now the sequence is, is kind of jumbled for everybody. I don't think anybody really knows exactly who, what, when, and how. But we do know that, um, people say, I don't believe there's a rapture. There's no such word in the Bible.

21:04 That's right. It's a Greek word. It's called harpazo. And I just told you what that meant, the violent snatching away from evil. And so at some point the Lord God will find it suitable for, you know, remember the virgins, the parable of the 10 virgins, 5 wise, 5 foolish. They were waiting for this door to open for them to be brought into the marriage supper of the Lamb, the bride and the groom to be reunited in this marriage ceremony. And so there was another parable that talks about being ready, being prepared, not missing it, because then the doors close and the 5 that were foolish and weren't prepared didn't have their oil. Got to have your own oil. Yeah. And plenty of it.

21:48 Yeah. Yeah. So another thing here, this— the idea with the Feast of Trumpets is that it sounds like in the Jewish tradition that God kind of puts you in and out of this Book of Life. He checks it every year, supposedly. That's their tradition. That's tradition. But what about the Book of Life? You know, it's the Lamb's Book of Life. It talks about in Revelation 20:12, and I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were open, and another book was open, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works by the things which are written in the books. So one thing we know about the Book of Life, it has the names of those that are saved. And it has the deeds of the righteous there according to Malachi. Well, it's interesting too. He says the books were opened, the books. So each one of us is writing a book, whether you've ever written a book or not.

22:45 There is a book being recorded with your life story in it, you know, and I believe the things that are in that book can be blotted out through the atonement, through the forgiveness, through the blood of Jesus and through our repentance and accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior. I believe also that You know, it says your names don't, you know, Paul, I think, was saying about your names being blotted out of the book of life. Well, they can't be blotted out if they were never in. So what I see it is God wrote everybody's name that he knew that were his. You know, there's many dwellers on the earth and inhabitants of the earth that are not humans, not eligible. They don't have human DNA. They're not made by God, that are not written in that, in that book. But us who have been made and created in the image of God, and are written in there. And so that we're not— we're in. And Paul says, lest your name be blotted out. So we can be blotted out. And I would think the only way we could be blotted out is if we reject the salvation of Jesus Christ, because that's the only way we get to stay in the book.

23:47 So God is not a respecter of persons. He put everybody's name in there. He's not, um, you know, then all— he says, all those he foreknew, he predestined to be called, to be to conform to the image of his Son. All those he foreknew, he called. So he has called all of us to participate in the marriage supper of the Lamb. He's not being exclusive here. He's not being, you know, I don't know what the word would be, partial. But he is, but we have something to do here. We have to, the next part of that verse in Romans 8:28-29 is that we have to answer that call. And so answering that call, this, and so this, We answer God's call. And then now in this last day, when God calls us back, now this rapture, Rosh Hashanah, Feast of the Trumpets, catching away from the violence to come, doesn't mean everybody is going to go in that rapture. And that's the problem.

24:45 It appears that there are others yet who are still on the earth who are tormented with the decision to make between choosing or not choosing the mark of the beast. Let me read this from Revelation 13:8. All who dwell in the earth will worship him, that is this beast, the earth dwellers, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. And then in Revelation 17:8, and the beast that you saw that was and is not will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world when they see the beast that was and is not and yet is. And this makes sense too because if you go back to the parable of the wheat and the tares, Jesus was telling his disciples there's a lot of, you know, things in that harvest field that look like wheat but are not. They're actually tares.

25:44 They're actually an imitation. They look, they're a lookalike. And those are not his. And they will be harvested out by the angels, the reapers. And so we understand that we— he says, it's very interesting in what you just read in Revelation 13, um, and all who dwell on the earth will worship him whose names have not been written in the, in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. So this foundation of the world slaying, this crucifixion that happened at the beginning was where our names were put in the book. But these earth dwellers dwell on the earth doesn't say, doesn't mean, although we jump to the conclusion that these are people, humans with souls and DNA that's human.

26:28 It says these are people, these are all who dwell on the earth. Now this could be humanoids. This could be, um, you know, transhumans. It could be clones. It could be any kind of thing that we already know. It could be people that have just rejected Jesus. It could be all of that. It could be that. But, and that's what we assume it is, but it's, it sounds like this is a very interesting sorting process that only God understands. And it's interesting, in Revelation 21 and 27, the verses before, he's talking about the New Jerusalem, the new heavens, the new earth, the New Jerusalem. Verse 27, but there shall by no means enter into it anything that defiles or causes an abomination. Abomination is a detestable or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

27:24 So here's the deal. God is not partial. He's not judgmental. You can have your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life if you just simply accept Jesus Christ and his blood sacrifice as the atonement for your sin. So that's what we call new birth or salvation. It's surrendering your life to the truth of who and what needs to be done for you to save that life. We cannot save ourselves. It's not up to us. We— it's already been done. Now all we do is accept it and then follow. Accept Jesus Christ and then follow him. And so we thank the Lord for the— I pray right now that you will not be overwhelmed or confused by this because, you know, it has been purposely kept as a mystery up to this point where we are not to understand the, the, the day or the hour, but we can know the time and the season. And I believe we all know we're moving quickly through the times and the seasons to get to the day and the hour of his return. And that many people are not yet ready.

28:24 And he said, the harvest is great, the laborers are few. Pray the Lord to send in harvesters or laborers. And so we're in— and it's also, as it's talked about in Revelation, that this is the time of the judging of the whore of Babylon. And so all of these things are coming together in a crisis moment, a climax of truth, and judgment. Matthew 24:42 says, watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. And then he says in verse 44, therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

29:04 We cannot delay anymore. We can't put it off. We can't make excuses or procrastinate on this matter anymore because it is the secure that this will come. It is already written. It is, you know, Jesus said, it is written, when he defeated the devil. This is written. You cannot ignore it. You cannot say, well, I don't believe this, and that makes it untrue or not possible. It doesn't matter what you say or what you believe. The truth is that we will be brought into a place of reckoning and judgment, and we will be either on the right side or the the place, place of death. So Father, we thank you for encouraging each one not to be discouraged, not to be overwhelmed, not to be scared, not to be anticipating in an anxious way, but to be praising and celebrating and rejoicing and looking up for the day of our redemption draws nigh. We thank you, Lord, the God— you are the God of heaven and earth. You are in control. You have known all of this from the foundation of the world and nothing surprises you. Nothing shocks you and nothing catches you off guard. So Let your people be illumined, brought into the place of, of truth, and they will not be deceived by the angels of light or the deception that's going on. Bless your people with truth, Father, in Jesus' name. Thank you, Lord, for waking us up, Lord, that your word is sounding the alarm.

30:22 There are true men and women of God that are sounding the alarm in these days, and we better take heed. Help us to take heed to that, Jesus, that we will be ready for your return. And that while we're waiting for your return, we will be busy about your business, Lord, and that is making disciples of all the nations and preaching the gospel of good news and healing the sick and cleansing the lepers, raising the dead and casting out demons.
