0:40 And we thank you, Lord, that your kingdom comes in and through us, because we are, your kingdom is within us. And we thank you, Lord God, for the revelation of that truth and that power in our minds, in our hearts, in our souls, in our spirits, in our lives. I thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross, no small thing, actually the biggest thing that ever happened in the whole world was your death and resurrection. And we thank you for taking the courage, giving us eternal life through your sacrifice, shedding your blood and paying the price in full for our sins that we might be set free. And I thank you, Lord God, for this very beautiful day. I thank you that for the people who are listening, I pray that you give them eyes to see, ears to hear, and a hungry heart to change the ways that need to be changed, the things that need to be changed in them and us, that we might be strong and stand and having done all to stand in these final days.

1:34 And I bind the powers of darkness that have come against your people, the remnant, against those who are ignorant and innocent and unknowing, that the spirit of the enemy would be bound by the spirit of the living God, and that the promises of your covenant of blood made with us will protect us from the terrible one, and that no weapon formed against us will prosper, that no word said, no deed done, no action taken will be able to be used by the enemy to bring forth shame, trouble, separation, or destruction in our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Father, we ask these things in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. I want to start out today. I have a question for you. Do you love the word of God? Do you know the word of God?

2:15 Do we know, do people really know the word of God and how powerful it is? Well, I love the word of God. Yeah, it's our life, actually. It's our life. It seems like a common subject that everybody should know about, but let's look today at what happens when you know the word of God. Well, Hebrews 4, verse 11 says, Let us therefore be diligent to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. So he's talking about places where people just departed from the Lord. Then he goes on to something so solid, which we want to talk about today. Chapter 4, verse 12, For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart.

3:10 That's a very powerful scripture. Hebrews, chapter what? Chapter 4, verse 12 is the one that we focused on. Double-edged sword. Yeah. A sword that separates, brings life. It separates, brings life. It's so accurate. It's better than pinpoint accuracy as far as what it says about God, about us and all the issues that we face in our lives. Yeah. The word of God, you know, some people call it the Holy Bible, the sacred scripture, the word of God, the words of God. It's God's words and communication to us through the generations from the beginning, giving us an accurate account of the things we need to know in order to pursue God with diligence and with that life-giving promise.

3:57 And so the word of God really is kind of a record of the details, the highlights and some details of the events of human history. And it's, by the way, it's historically accurate. You know, we've got a lot of revisionist history that's politically motivated these days. You know, we just try to, some people say, well, the Holocaust never happened. And all the, you know, there's revisionist according, human beings tend to revise history, rewrite history according to their political or religious persuasion. But the Bible is actually totally historically accurate.

4:39 Right, and even the attempts to revise it and water it down have not prevailed in keeping the power of that living sword in the midst of us and at our fingertips, so to speak. So there's like 40 books written by, 66 books, sorry, written by about 40 authors over the course of like 1,500 years. And they're very accurate, they're very consistent in the fact that they didn't, you know, really exchange memos and notes and things, but they still have the same thrust in the revelation of God. So the first part of the Bible is to reveal, I believe, the divine, holy creator of the universe, to reveal him to us as our creator and then as our father.

5:23 And then as a father, he has revealed to us his only begotten son, who we also know to be Jesus Christ, our deliverer and king. And the third part, they have accomplished this deliverance from the path of sin and destruction that was intended for us by Satan through the Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit is that member of the Trinity that indwells us and who has chosen to follow, indwells those who have chosen to follow Jesus Christ in the path of the son. When you think of it, Marjorie, 40 different authors over a period of 1,500 years, people from all kinds of backgrounds. You had fishermen and farmers and prophets and priests and from all different cultures, different countries over a period of 1,500 years.

6:13 Yet, what were the chances if we would say, people from all different backgrounds, let's write a book about life. And I mean, it would be the craziest and most insane thing. It would be uninspired for sure. Totally uninspired. Well, this one is inspired. This shows that it is inspired by God because all those pieces fit together perfectly. But the problem is most of us do not know the word of God or the power of the word or why we should even read the word or where to begin. And so today we're going to be talking to you about this and maybe in a couple of other sessions too. But the Holy Spirit has been sent to indwell us, to inspire us.

6:55 He connects us with the light that lights every man that comes into the world because God has ordained that the Holy Spirit would bear witness to that light and also guide us. So the Holy Spirit works through the word of God. It is his job to lead us into all truth, including the deeper understanding of the word of God. And so in this world full of deception, and especially in these last days when we hear about all the things Jesus talked about, the guiding light and power and authority of the Holy Spirit is essential to get through this deception. Yeah, and I just want to address that a bit, Marjorie. In the Old Testament book of Amos, the prophet Amos, it's interesting.

7:39 Amos 2, verse 4, thus says the Lord, for three transgressions of Judah and for four I will not turn away its punishment because they have despised the law of the Lord and have not kept his commandments. Their lies lead them astray. Lies which their fathers followed. That's what we've got going on in our world. Lies leading people astray. Lies which come down generationally. And it talks about, Amos also addresses this. He was a farmer that turned into a prophet. He says, behold, the days are coming in Amos 8, verse 11. Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord God.

8:21 That I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread nor a thirst of water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. Well, and the other prophets, Isaiah and Hosea, said without the revelation, my people perish for lack of knowledge or lack of revelation. And we are perishing because there's a famine in this land for the word of God. And people, even though they're coming to the Lord, they're coming in through music and worship and emotion and sermons and things. But they need to be anchored in that sure foundation of the word of God, or they will just simply not have any root in themselves and soon be withered away when the distress has come.

9:03 And he said, again, in Amos 8, verse 12, they shall wander from sea to sea and from north to east. They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, but shall not find it. So there is that famine of hearing the word of God because the word of God is not being read. It's not really being presented. And people are not able to hear it because they're so bound up with sin and the powers of darkness. And this word is interesting because you can read it and get some head knowledge and get some facts and figures and times and chronological order of events. But if you don't have it really living in your heart, that head knowledge really isn't going to help much because it's a revelation of the truth that we'll be able to resist in the evil day and having done all to resist.

9:57 So the important thing in knowing and understanding and living in the context of the Bible is to how relevant it really is in our day and age, in the days that we're living in. I mean, obviously Jesus warned us about them, the great deception, the chaos, the confusion, the divination, the division, the offense, the bitter hatred, the contempt that would take over the world at the end to tear apart families. Now listen, this is all part of what's really prophetically happening. The families are being torn apart. There's discouragement. Men's hearts are failing them for fear. Suicide rates are up.

10:38 People wondering what's coming upon the earth. Jesus told us about this in Matthew 24. We do not have to be ignorant or caught off guard because that word of God is living and relevant and it's relevant for these days, this time that we're living in. The books of Matthew and Mark and Luke where they're talking about these end time events. Jesus said, you know, that there would be a, like you just said, a dearth for the knowledge of the revelation of God. Yeah, and I think of in 2 Timothy 3, he says, verse 13, but evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

11:23 So this is kind of the order of the day in the earth. And then he said, verse 14, but you, you know, in contradiction and contrast to this spirit of deception, but you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of knowing that, knowing from whom you have learned them. In other words. Well, doesn't he also say in there doctrines of demons? Yeah, so that the demons are creating new doctrines, new false hopes and, you know, rabbit trails for people to go on in search of spiritual life and revelation. It says they shall be turned away from, in chapter four of 2 Timothy, verse four, they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned to fables.

12:09 Yeah, fables. Stories. And fantasies, enchanted ideas. Yeah. But then, then getting onto this here with Timothy, he says that from childhood that you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through the faith, which is in Christ Jesus. So his, his, apparently his grandmother and his mother, we learned in another passage, taught him the scriptures when he was young. A child. Yeah. So that's why. It's not happening now. Are you doing that mom and dad with your kids? Have it, has it been done for you or to you? I mean, I was raised with the Bible in the center of the room, but no one ever opened it because we were taught that you weren't smart enough or holy enough or had to have someone else interpret it for you.

12:58 And so a lot of people were raised with that notion that the Bible is not for you to read. It is just for you to, to just hold in your, on your coffee table and someone else will interpret it for you. And this has been a very devastating, what would you call it? Plot against the word of God, against the people of God. In verse 16 of Second Timothy three, all scripture, all the written word of God is given, is given by inspiration of God. The word inspiration, it means it's literally God breathes and it is profitable for what doctrine for correct teaching, for reproof, for, for just, you know, for correcting us for daily living, for confronting us, correcting us for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

13:50 So the man of God, we could say the woman of God too, maybe complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. So the, the word of God, the written word of God equips us really in our bodies, souls, and spirits for the work and the life. Well, I think it also insulates us and makes us invincible because of the onslaught of the enemies work against us. You know, Mark in Mark and Matthew, Jesus is talking to his disciples about knowing the mysteries of the kingdom of God. And those mysteries, he said, have been recorded in the word of God were given to those who follow to understand that they might know.

14:31 But to those who are outside or outside of the kingdom, these things were given in parables. So we see that there's many deep mysteries that have not been perceived or understood by many because they are outside of the kingdom of God. So the Holy Spirit is able to instruct those who are in the kingdom as the Holy Spirit dwells in us and leads us into all truth. He speaks to us many times, actually through the word of God, the pages that the words of God are written on in your Bible. I can't tell you how many times, you know, you will open the Bible. I will open the Bible and it will speak exactly to what I is on my heart or what the Spirit is working in me.

15:13 And it's just like, oh, there's a real communication. It's like a living letter. It's an instant letter, an instant communication. And you're actually having words that you can understand that guide you in the predicaments or whatever situation you're in. It's like God is talking to us through his Bible and through the Holy Spirit at the same time. Well, you can't understand the word of God unless you have the author of the word of God living inside you. That would be the Holy Spirit. The Bible says that, Peter writes, he says all the scriptures that is given by a holy man of old spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

15:53 So you have to have, it's just like if you have an author, use a book and you're reading a book and you say, well, I don't understand that part. But if you could talk to the author, they would explain to you what they meant right there. So the Holy Spirit is living in us because people can read it. You know, if you don't know Christ, you really can't understand the word is what I'm saying. And you maybe don't even care to understand it. You don't even care. You can read it and you can have knowledge of it. But the revelation only comes by the Holy Spirit. Yeah. And this thing, this opportunity to know the word of God, read the word of God, make it part of your daily life is accessible.

16:35 It's free to you. It doesn't cost you anything except your time and your attention. And so when people get weary, it causes those who are without hope. There's thinking in the despair and desolation of this world, the death, the destruction, the word of God tells us how to possess the kingdom. It gives us hope in the midst of the wars and the rumors of wars and the death and the shattering tragedies. The word of God actually contains the most important thing. It contains the promises of God and those promises are what we hook our faith on. We're believing in the faithfulness of God to do what he said he was going to do and this is where we get our hope.

17:15 This is where we get our life. This is where we get our direction. This is where we get our encouragement. This is where we get our joy and our positivity. This is where we get our thanksgiving is in knowing that God does not lie and that he keeps his promises. So the word of God shows us how to live, how to possess the kingdom, how to live in the will and the wisdom of God, how to be and abide in him in the midst of the onslaught of these end days deceptions. It teaches us how to stay strong and encourages us in the love of God. It resets our minds, our frequencies, our DNA when we read it, especially when we read it out loud.

17:55 It nourishes our souls and washes our minds. The washing of the water of the word is a real thing. It really cleanses us. It resets our systems. It resets us. People are drawn into anxiety and fear and panic and worry and anger and injustice. Reading the word of God actually resets your frequencies to believe for good things, to believe for the truth, to believe that God is good and that God is on our side. It also gives us a standard for truth when there's everywhere else the measures. Where is the standard of truth? How do you gauge or judge what's being said out there in the world, in the media, in the communication propaganda systems, the propaganda machine of the world to keep people programmed and enchanted and suspended in fear?

18:46 Where do you find the word of truth, the word of hope? It also sets us free from fear and gives us freedom from the grip of the terrible one, the promises of God. Remember, Abraham believed God and it, that, his faith in God, in the promises, what was accounted to him for righteousness. So Abraham lived before the law and so Abraham's justification, his righteousness, came not from keeping the perfect letter of the law, which no man actually can do, but in believing what the Lord God said to him when he promised him a descendants as the stars of the sky and the land that he was living on, he gave him those things as a possession.

19:27 And so that is where we must be now in your anchor. Our anchor must be in the word of God. It has to be. Yeah, we have to, you know, we judge everything by the word of God. Now, you don't like that term judge. Some, a lot of people don't. But really, it's like, I mean, it's like if you take a tape measure and say, okay, you need a board that's 28 and a half inches long. And if everybody had a different size inch, it'd be chaos. You couldn't, you know, if everybody had a different tape measure that was false, that's what we got going on. That's why we got so much confusion in our culture and society is that everybody's using a little different standard of measurement.

20:11 But what if you're going to build, you know, in America, we have the 12 inch foot and it's on the tape measures and that's the standard. You think, well, let's find out, is this board long enough for a 28 and a half inch cut? And you put the measure on it, tape, and you said, yeah. So basically, the word of God is in a sense is the tape measure for everything. It's a tape measure for, it's the standard measure for measure, for truth, all things that pertain to life and godliness, the scripture says. So it's interesting too that it is scientifically accurate, you know, that the science, modern science.

20:57 And archeology. Has to catch up with the Bible. Yeah. Some people say, oh, the Bible is so awkward and irrelevant. Irrelevant. Untimely. But basically, it's totally ahead of the game because everything of true science is there to catch up with the Bible. For example, in Hebrews chapter 11, just one example of this is chapter 11 of Hebrews. It says, now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. And then he goes on to say, for by it, the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

21:41 So he's already talking about atoms, molecules, protons, neutrons, all those things in the molecular structure of the world because he's saying things that are seen like your tables and your chairs are not made of things which are visible. And that's actually what the science has already discovered finally. The same is true of the DNA. The same is true of whatever God has said. And I believe that when we read the word of God, the Holy Spirit takes us deeper into understanding and connecting the dots. Between what we're experiencing, what God has said, the history of the past, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the crucifixion, the eternal salvation, the coming kingdom, the kingdom of God, the rooms he's made for us in heaven.

22:23 All of these things that are in there are helping. They're very active. They're very alive. They're very relevant to our daily life. Yeah, and we've got the lies of evolution, which is just, it's really... Can I say something about evolution? It's totally stupid. Well, you know, evolution. How do they explain seeds? You know, there's a little seed. It's dry. It's in a packet. It's made with many other seeds. They're all isolated from one another, and they look deader than a doornail. And you put those little seeds in the right environment with water and soil, or even sometimes in a Petri dish, and they begin to come... How did that evolve?

23:03 How did that evolve? Into something that gives life and food to humanity. It's ridiculous. Yeah. But it says in Colossians chapter 1, verse 16, For by him all things were created, not evolved, that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities and powers. All things were created through him. That's through Christ. Through his word, actually. Through Christ. Jesus is... Spoke the word. The written word, the Bible, is there to reveal the living word, which is Jesus Christ. And God spoke the word, and all things came into being.

23:45 Well, he says... Let there be. Yes. And he spoke. And he said, verse 17, He is before all things, and in him all things consist. All things are held together. By him. The scientists now, they realize there's this mysterious force that holds... They look at an atom and they think... Everything, because it's all in motion. It's just motion. You've got electrons. Molecules. Molecules. Everything just... You know, the tiniest part of molecules. Moving. Everything's moving. What keeps it all from flying apart? They think... They realize there's this mysterious force that keeps him from flying apart.

24:29 And here's the answer here. By Christ, by the living word, who we know as Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, he is the one that is holding everything together in the universe. And in our bodies because they've also discovered this molecule. I'll call it a molecule. It could be something other names, but it's called laminin. And laminin holds the muscles and the bones and the body and the stomach and the members of the body together. And it is in the form of a cross. So God is... Look it up. You can see it. Yeah, for yourself. So we're seeing that God is in everything. God is, you know, he is the author and the finisher of our faith.

25:10 So the word of God is alive. It's active. When you feel dead, bored, sluggish, despondent, depressed, disoriented, if you could read the word of God. But the enemy really keeps us from that book. I mean, we'll flip on the TV. We'll scroll through our Facebook. We'll, you know, whatever, you know, watch a movie, go through, go, whatever. He can distract us with anything but reading the word. The word of God, reading it, sitting down, letting it, you know, the reason I think it's hard is because people don't realize that the Holy Spirit is there to help you understand it. I think they think they have to understand it and they also have been taught they're too dumb.

25:52 They don't get it. It's not for them. It's boring. Yeah. But the word of God is actually like it's life. It is like a blanket. You can wrap yourself in that blanket now in the word of God. I don't care where you read it. It's all good. Back, the front, the Old Testament, New Testament Psalms. You can wrap yourself in that and it gives you a sense of protection and protection and peace and in this unpredictable world where we're being dumped and destroyed and every day Satan's trying to kill us in a thousand ways. The word of God is a shield. It's a shield. It can protect you even from, I believe, the shields of God can protect you even from the radiation and the nanoparticles and the G5s and all this stuff that's bombarding our lives, our DNA.

26:43 The word of God is the shields of God. So ask the Lord to put the shields around you and begin to tuck yourself into the word of God. It is probably the most powerful of all remedies. If you can find yourself a little moment, a little space, a little corner where it's kind of quiet and open your Bible and just say, Holy Spirit, show me where to read or Holy Spirit, teach me what I'm reading and God will begin, I'm serious, you will begin to develop the relationship with God that you've really always wanted. You cannot get this, you know, this feeding, this nourishing by eating three crackers from the preacher on Sunday morning and live all week without those three crackers.

27:26 You have got to be nourished in the meat of the word of God, the milk of the word of God, the understanding of the word of God and there are many preachers out there these days who are actually starting to say some very good things, powerful, inspiring things that encourage us to get into the word of God and of course, then there's others who, you know, use it for their own gain but you are the only one that can eat your own food. My husband cannot eat my food for me. You have to eat your own food and the word of God is our daily food. Psalm 1-1, beginning there, blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, the advice, the lies, we could say, nor stands in the path of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful but his delight is in the law of the Lord.

28:15 That's the word of God and in his law, he meditates. That means to mutter it by talking to yourself. It means to mutter by talking to yourself. It's okay, I mean, reading it out loud is whenever you can. That is, that's where it really releases its power. Meditate day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season whose leaf also shall not wither and whatever he does shall prosper. Don't you want to prosper? Don't you want to be blessed? Well then, do what the word says and see if it works. I mean, you can put God to the test and follow him and see if he keeps his word because he does.

28:55 He is always true. He never lies. But the problem is, you know, we have been so overwhelmed. It's almost like we've been a blanket of enchantment and sorcery and stupor and his spellbound us. People, the drugs, the distractions, we have been deceived. The urgent has overtaken the important and so we don't take time for these things because we rush through our day because time is speeding up and the days of Jesus' coming are drawing near and so people are getting more frantic to get this or that done and they leave out the important things because they don't have time. You know, but in the end you're going to have to give an account of the time that you were given and how you used it and our lives too are very precious.

29:43 You know, we're made in the image of God and yet people are willing to throw away their lives to get rid of pain or to get rid of confusion or to get out of trouble and they don't have any hope because they don't know what the word of God says and so with that we want to just say, you know, start with yourself. You can't make anybody else do what you're not doing and so begin, you know, you don't have to make it a ritual. You don't have to make it a New Year's resolution. You just need to do it. I'm not going to try to read the Bible. I am going to read the Bible. Now maybe today you sit down and you get in two sentences. Maybe tomorrow you get in four. You know, just do it for yourself and the other thing, Jerry, that people have advantage of that they don't realize is there's the YouVersion apps, the Bible apps on your phone and for most of the time there's a narrative.

30:33 There's someone who can read that word to you so you can take that with you when you're brushing your teeth and brushing your hair and getting in your car and making your dinner. You can have that word of God being pumped into or piped into your spirit by someone who's just reading it aloud for you and it's going to really settle and set your day upright. You can be, I'm coining a new phrase here that just came to me, worderated. Worderated? In other words, you're saturated with the word of God. You say, Lord, re- What does the word say? Worderate yourself. Yes. Saturated. Every day. Every day. And it's interesting too, I'm just thinking just a side thought here.

31:16 Psalm 119 has 176 verses and it's written as a song. Imagine singing a song. Okay. Let's sing Psalm, verse 172 again. That's a long song. I mean, but it's all about the importance of the word of God in Psalm 119, 11. Your word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against you. Yeah. And in the ultimate last question that God is going to ask all of us, if it needs even to be asked, is what did you do with my son? What did you do with the word of God? Did you read it? And you know, what's your excuse going to be in that day?

31:56 Because you will want a really good excuse if you didn't read it because nothing is going to avail except the truth. And so, Father, we just pray right now that everyone who's listening will be inspired and encouraged to get their Bible out, dust it off, put it where it can be seen, you know, carry it in their pocket if they have a, you know, even if they have the you version or the audio versions of the Bible. Get us into it, Lord God. Let us be saturated. Let us walk in the truth. Let us be filled with a hunger for your truth and full of courage, joy, thanksgiving, confidence in the peace of your faithfulness and the peace of your promises that we will also be able to give an answer to everyone who asks us why we're so hopeful, that you will encourage us, inspire us.

32:46 And these are precious days, rare days, days of importance, days of important decisions. Let us not waste our time on things that don't matter eternally and give us wisdom, strength, revelation, and determination by your spirit to read your word. Thank you, Jesus. I want to suggest something. If you've never really gotten into a habit of reading the word of God and just ask the Lord when you read, say, Lord, just show up and open the eyes of my heart to see you and to understand what I'm reading here. I always like to say, Marjorie, a good place to start for those that have never really got started reading the word is the book of Mark.

33:26 Because I call that the book for the attention deficit people and a lot of people are like that these days. But what happens there is you really get kind of a fast-moving... Crash course. Fast-moving crash course on Jesus and his ministry here on earth. And you've got to focus on that because the word of the Lord, the word of God focuses on the God of the word and that's Jesus, the living God. And it's very relevant to your everyday life. Yeah. And it's just one of the words that's used there over and over again is immediately, immediately, fast-paced, fast-moving.

34:07 That's a suggestion. Start in the book of Mark and don't read for depth, not for distance. Just don't say, I'm going to read a hundred verses today. No, just start. If you just like Marjorie, you were just saying, if you just get one sentence or one word that especially speaks to you, that's very valuable. That's life.
